Heavy metal gains exposure

The heavy metal subculture in Botswana is currently the toast of the international film festival circuit. March Of The Gods: Botswana Metalheads, a film that captures the wild blend of British heavy metal of the ‘80s, cowboy fashion and biker elements that distinctly characterise the local rock scene, started the event run at the Texas Boomtown Film Festival in the US on February 22, 2014.

 

“A week ago, the film screened at the Capetown Xfest, a festival of metal documentaries,” Raffaele Mosca, the Greece-based filmmaker behind the work said last week.
