Can Journalism Survive Independent Of Advertising Revenue?

New forms of financing journalism are slowly emerging in the world. These new forms, called crowdfunding, and the cooperative model have part of their roots in Germany and my observation is that they look set to spread to the rest of the world.

A newspaper to survive using this new form of funding, is the taz.die tageszeitung newspaper in Berlin with its editor, Mathias Broeckers.
