UDC leaders late coming �spoils the party

The Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) leader, Duma Boko turned up four hours late for the Serowe conference over the weekend, as other senor members pledged to rein in a tendency they admit has crept into the opposition group.

Boko was scheduled to officially open the conference at 11am, but events only got underway at 3pm due to delays by him and other leaders.

Later, UDC secretary general, Gomolemo Motswaledi, told journalists that the party would do its best to address the trend within its ranks. “The issue of late coming affects all UDC members.
