BIUST turns Sekgoma Memorial wards into hostels

Botswana International University of Science and Technology (BIUST) is refurbishing the Old Sekgoma Memorial Hospital wards into hostels for first and second year undergraduate students, Mmegi has learnt.

BIUST’s Director of Physical Planning and Campus Facilities, Mpho Mphengula told journalists last week that 48 rooms have been completed which will accommodate 1,000 students.

He said the new institution has engaged youths with construction skills in various refurbishment works at the old hospital. “Most of the construction work is on schedule,” he explained.
