Still no progress in Moroka shooting

Four months after Chief Executive Officer and Resident Director of De Beers Botswana, Neo Moroka shot and killed Kealeboga Danstar of Tsabong, the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) is yet to decide if they should prosecute.

The DPP’s dithering remains a mystery considering the fact that they received the final investigation report more than two months ago.

“The office of the DPP initially received the docket pertaining to the matter in May, the docket was then returned to the police for further investigations on May 22, 2014. The docket was subsequently received back from the police on June 6, 2014,” said the prosecuting authority’s deputy director Kabo Leinaeng.
