The Gaborone High Court will decide on September 9 whether Elijah Katse irregularly filed a case to be reinstated as Tlokweng parliamentary candidate by the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP).

Justice Terrence Rannowane set the date yesterday after hearing arguments in an application where the ruling party is seeking the dismissal of Katse’s case on the grounds that it was filed unprocedurally.

Katse and three BDP Tlokweng council candidates moved to court after the BDP recalled them from contesting the general elections saying that they violated the rules and regulations of the party.
