No update on Masilo�s abuse allegations

There was no update in the abuse allegations made by convicted robber, Thabo Masilo, when he appeared in court yesterday because the prosecutor was absent.

The 22-year-old who is facing fresh charges of robbery and indecent assault said in a previous appearance through his attorney Kgosietsile Ngakaagae that the police and prison authorities had mistreated him.

The prosecutor, Christinah Ramokwena had indicated that she should investigate the allegations and report to the court but yesterday, she did not turn up. Masilo will appear again for mention on April 29. The case will be tried on July 27-28.
