Nigel Amos was the biggest winner at the annual Botswana National Sports Council (BNSC) awards held at the Gaborone International Convention Centre (GICC) over the weekend. Amos won both the sportsman of year and the sportsperson of the year awards.

The sportsperson of the year award carried a cash prize of P70, 000. Charles Mosokomane of tennis won umpire of the year award while Justice Dipeba of athletics walked away with the coach of the year award. Group code of the year award was snatched by Botswana Primary Sports Association (BOPSA) beating BISA and BOTESSA.

Keamogetse Kenosi of boxing then scooped the junior female sportsperson of the year award. Baboloki Thebe won the junior male sportsperson of the year award, while Keenese Katisenge of chess picked the sport administrator of the year award.
