BNSC releases awards nominees

The Botswana National Sports Council (BNSC) has released the nominees for the 30th edition of its annual awards to be held in Gaborone on April 30. BNSC released the names of 36 sportspeople during a media briefing in Gaborone on Tuesday.

Boxing and athletics dominate the nominees' list.

A fierce battle is expected when boxer, Mmoloki Nogeng competes against long jumper, Gable Garenamotse and karate's Vikisikhale Majama for the Sportsman of the Year award. Sprinter, Amantle Montsho is favoured to retain the Sportswoman Of The Year award although she faces competition from netballer, Ogone Gabaratane and karateka, Bathami Ikhutseng.
