Tlhagadikgora promises a big comeback

Tlhagadikgora’s fans, who might have been wondering what became of the musician, will be pleased to know that he is working on an album expected in the no distant future.

Tlhagadikgora is working with his newly formed band, which goes by the name Black Rose.

“Am currently working on my album, which is a different sound to what my fans are used to. It is heavily influenced by the new content we have been working on with Black Rose, it is a mixer of Afro-pop and Jazz. My fans can go to YouTube to access the new material we have been working on with my band, the material is under the name Black Rose on YouTube or alternatively they can go on the band’s website. I can’t wait to release the band’s material and my own solo material, which has been a long time coming,” he said.

“We have been invited to tour and showcase the music that we have been working on. We will be performing and working with artists from Germany and Belgium for a period of two months commencing from June till the end of July 2015, we are very excited at the prospect and the exposure we will receive from this tour,” he further said.

He told Arts & Culture that together with his band, they are working on projects, which include school workshops, where they inspire and teach children about music.

Tlhagadikgora has been studying music in South Africa, and he has so far completed Advanced Diploma in Sound Engineering.

“I am currently enrolled at one of the most prestigious international institutions known as school of Audio Engineering (SAE) where I am perusing a bachelor’s degree in Sound Engineering,” he said. Tlhagadikgora also said in recent years he has been mostly concentrating on sharpening his skills in sound production and the technical side of music. Tlhagadira hailed My Star, saying it boosted him quite significantly.

“I was able to realise my ambitions within the music industry in such a way that I could have never imagined. It opened doors for me. I was afforded the opportunity to go overseas (London), which helped me enhance my skills and in-depth understanding of the music industry as a whole.”
