New Capitol Cinemas launches Platinum Lounge

Chief Executive Officer of New Capitol Cinemas Botswana, Natalie Makoni said that one of the reasons for the Platinum Lounge was that customers tend to spend a lot of money on food before watching a movie of their choice. The rule at the cinema is that food from outside is strictly prohibited.

“We have a fully working in-house restaurant where by our customers can come and order meals of their choice. The meals delivered while they watch clients are watching a movie,” said Makoni.

Not only will customers have that privilege, they are also provided with reclining leather seats and side tables for them to sit and enjoy their meals comfortably.

“We are very ambitious as a brand and obviously have plans for the future to actually refurbish other branches, looking at the mere fact that it is not everyone who comes to Acacia Mall,” she said. She further added that these days cinema is not only about the movie it is about experience.

“We have also staggered the show time, we have different movies showing at every hour compared to in the past when you would get a movies starting at 1430 hours then at 1730 hours, we are actually going to roll this out to other cinemas.” she pointed out.

Makoni expressed her gratitude to their social media followers for the recognitions they have shown them ever since their brand started to grow.
