Tati Tower Lodge is owned by former head-teacher, Motlatsi Mbanga and managed by Happy Chere.
Both Mbanga, who is the managing director of the place and manageress, Chere, said they welcomed competition from their rival lodges, namely Ebat, Road View and Chirose Village Lodge.
They arrived at The Monitor offices for an interview after their appointment with the Botswana Tourism Board where they had gone to request the grading of their business.
'We really welcome competition. What we know is that we offer the best facilities in Tati Siding, or even Francistown. We are actually looking for a five star grading looking at the fact that our lodge is such a good place,' Mbanga, a property developer and retailer by business, said.
Tati Towers boasts of 18 rooms in all, six rooms being of executive standard, another six being twin and a further six being standard/double.
Mbanga said since the opening of the lodge, they have been receiving a lot of inquiries. They have since hosted a workshop organised by the Botswana Christian AIDS Intervention Program me (BOCAIP).
'Considering that we have just opened, the level of interest shown by people inquiring about the lodge shows that we are on the right track,' said Mbanga.
Tati Towers comes at a time when the Football World Cup is about to take place in South Africa and Mbanga acknowledged the fact that they also want to cash in on the extravaganza.
'We will be happy to receive guests coming for the World cup at the lodge,' he said.
