According to Trans, the new project dubbed 3 Square Banner Stores, is aimed at empowering SMMEs and local entrepreneurs to thrive while equipping them with the necessary skills to improve their businesses. Head of Marketing and Communications at Trans Africa, Thapelo Mmono on Thursday said the 3 Square Banner Store is an opportunity for the group to empower general dealers, tuckshops or SMMEs to flourish.
“Through the project, Trans will assist them with rebranding and marketing, which will assist in evolving their stores in a way that differentiates them across an ever-changing marketplace,” she told journalists. As part of the programme, Mmono said franchises will participate in a monthly meeting where training and advice will be given to the members.
“The training and advice given to the members is designed to further refine store layout optimisation and proven strategies for generating greater sales from more effective merchandising, partnering with suppliers on product training as well,” she added.
She continued: “In a nutshell, the 3 Square Banner groups are Trans’ way of working to ensure the SMMEs don’t get overrun by large retail giants setting up in the market. We have a monthly meeting with our members where discussions are had around product knowledge, competitive pricing, and other topics that will improve their businesses.” For his part, Group Operations Director, Shine Baby, shared: "This past year showed our strength and commitment to being excellent. We are thankful for our customers' trust and proud of our dedicated team. Moving forward, we are committed to providing quality products, innovative solutions, and making a positive impact on the communities we serve."
