In an interview with Arts & Culture, Bonnie Fisher described the song as an R&B song with a fusion of Soul, Amapiano & Afro-Jazz.
He explained that the song is “simply about a man who is head over heels in love, appreciates his woman and is overwhelmed by her beauty”. Bonnie first broke into the music scene in 2010 with his album Mmapula.
The title track, Mmapula became an instant hit throughout the country topping most music charts. He has also featured in a number of other artists’ projects both as a singer and a co-producer such as Vee's Ditshipi tsame album (featuring in the song It's alright) and Gospel and Jazz diva Suggie Fisher's African Diamond album. Furthermore, he has also collaborated with Namibian sensations Chester Houseprince & Kaptain Tshazi in 2019 on the song which they are planning to release before the year ends.
He went on to collaborate with Namibian sensation, Chester Houseprince in 2019, which was a hit in Namibia. In 2021, he released a song called Mmamotho, which was the last project he worked on.
He is the founder of one of the biggest Gospel music groups in the country that has birthed some of the famous local artists called Jam In Christ (JIC) alongside his sister who is also a Gospel and Jazz artist, Suggie Fisher, Joel Keitumele, Tshepo Lesole, Oaitse Segobai and award winning legendary Gospel musician Phempheretlhe, just to name but a few.
He said he is currently working on finalising his Bend Over album, which will be released in the form of singles. “My next single is scheduled for release at the end of September. The Bend Over video will also follow. The release date will be announced on my social media platforms. Bonnie said he is looking to collaborate with artists in his next project. “I’m also looking forward to working with more local and international artists and producers to further expand my portfolio,” he said.
