A local entertainment and events company, Diva Entertainment will host a family fun day and children oriented festival dubbed Bots Fest on August 20, 2022 at Serene View Gardens.

In an interview with Arts & Culture, Diva Entertainment chief executive officer (CEO), Onesimo Ncube also known as Boss Channels, explained that the event includes an activity for kiddies in the afternoon that will be headlined by United Kingdom (UK) based 10-year-old artiste Lil Jam Jam.

He also stated that the event was an opportunity for local young creatives to showcase and interact as well as build links that would serve them well in future. “We have young creatives that will grace the occasion like talented DJs and hostess famed as Queen Omza, a 11-year-old versatile DJ called Gaborone Sanchez, young dancer and multi-talented kid named Memonkis and a 20-year-old young hostess Empress Rena.

We also have DJ Miles who is 16-years-old and many others who will be singing and showcasing various forms of art. In the senior category we have Jah Hanif from England as a headliner. Ironically, he is the father of Lim Jam Jam,” he said. Ncube also said Jah Hanif was a big promoter in the UK and had hosted big events across UK and Europe.

He said locally based DJs and artistes in the likes of DJ Sachez Africa, Selekta Dimo, DJ Que, DJ King David and Makavele would join the line-up. Artistes that would grace the event include Ijahman States and The Live Band together with Baba Black and Empress Eunice. He further stated that the event would be a night to remember as they would have fun games for the whole family like face paintings for kids, swimming and music. Ncube also called on parents who have children they felt needed exposure to contact them.

He also urged families to support the initiative saying it is aimed at keeping the young Motswana child off drugs and other scourges but focuses on exposing their talent and building a bright future for them. Furthermore, Ncube explained that their event was unique as it gives people a break from usual events that do not cater for young people. He said their was meant to stimulate the growth in an industry that employs so many and had the potential to alleviate unemployment like the main act who was already making it abroad due to his father’s influence.

He said the event was there to encourage young people into honouring their creative senses so early in their young lives and teach them confidence without resorting to drugs and substance abuse. “We have guides and security to make sure that the kids are safe. They will be designated areas for kids and family up to 6pm. After 6pm parents and guardians will take all children under 18 years of age home.

The event is strictly for kids up till 6pm. Tickets are sold at P50 for children and P100 for adults. They can be bought at the venue or delivered to you when you call 73868718. The event is scheduled to start at 11am,” he ended.
