Building on the successful maiden edition in 2023, The Herdboys' Indulgence is making a return this year on June 1 at Hatsalatadi.

The laid back camping affair, which the organisers say celebrates Botswana's cultural heritage and agriculture, is a Botswana Tourism Organisation-accredited event. “After a successful inaugural event last year, we are excited to once again celebrate and appreciate the invaluable contributions of our Herdboys to agriculture and cultural heritage,” read a statement from the organisers.

“The Herdboys' Indulgence is more than just a gathering; it's a platform to recognise the dedication and hard work of Herdboys who spend countless hours in cattle posts and fields, tending to animals and nurturing our agricultural lands. “This event serves as an educational opportunity, where stakeholders will impart valuable knowledge on animal care, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation for the crucial bond between Herdboys and farmers,” they further said. Moreover, the organisers added The Herdboys' Indulgence is a celebration of Botswana's rich cultural heritage and diverse cuisine.

“Attendees can look forward to experiencing traditional dances, music, and culinary delights, offering a taste of our vibrant traditions and flavors.” Tickets for the event are available for purchase at P150 (camping fee) which offers attendees an immersive and unforgettable experience.
