Kgatleng giants, Mochudi Centre Chiefs on Saturday convened an emergency meeting in Mochudi to discuss the current state of the club.

The meeting came about following the mass resignations of executive committee members in recent months.

Few weeks back the club suffered the last blow when the chairperson, Edwin Mothulatshipi also handed in his resignation, leaving only two committee members, Fidelia Masomosomo (treasurer) and team manager, Tosh Seleke from the society’s side.

The club recently announced that it is now operating as a company after its transformation from the society.

However, the supporters on Saturday were made aware that an attempt to dissolve the society had not been concluded as certain procedures were not followed. The meeting resolved to elect new members of the committee to fill in the vacant posts left by the previous members.

The committee will then operate on an interim basis, and has been mandated with dealing with the issue of dissolving the society. The committee will also lead the club into the next annual general meeting, which will map the way forward for the club as an entity.

The club’s treasurer, Masomosomo yesterday also stated that they have submitted the name of the new interim chairperson, Victor Kobe to the management committee of the company.

Kobe will now be the new representative of the supporters through their 10 percent stake in the company following the resignation of Mothulatshipi. He will form part of the decision making body on the company side.

The new Chiefs interim committee:

Chairman: Victor Kobe Vice Chairman: Mosinki Gare Treasurer: Fidelia Masomosomo Team Manager: David Tosh Seleke Secretary General: Robert Maabong Vice Secretary: Rodwel Bodika Add members: Percy Sebogodi, Seete Modisane, Pius Malau
