The Last Camp Out is the spinoff of popular monthly chill session Bush Farm Sundays. It has now become a favourite for revellers who love to welcome every New Year in style in Thamaga.

The event ticks down the last hours of the year and has become a hub of party goers, travellers and people from surrounding villages like Kumakwane, Moshupa and Molepolole who go there to connect and straddle the New Year. It is not just Zanda Zakuza but the line-up also features a roster of exploding talent from Thamaga such as BJB, Stanley Stan, Kwaito Mental and DJ Romeo. During a media briefing in Thamaga on Friday, the organiser of the event, Lucky Ranko revealed that the event which started in 2019 has now gone international by bringing Zanda Zakuza. “The 2019 production was top-notch, with stages and light shows that had fans raving. We want to grow this event with an artist who needs no introduction.

We all know every hit she has touched over the years like Master KG’s Skeleton Move, Limpopo and Prince Kaybee’s Club Controller,” he said. Ranko also said the event will start in the morning with the picnic version and later turn into a fully-fledged music festival until the morning of January 1, 2022. He also emphasised that the event is family friendly therefore patrons can bring their children to enjoy and gather for one last event of the year 2021.

He said even though people are always concerned about the issue of security especially in Thamaga village, as Vision Link Entertainment, they are and have been committed to the best security. “We always ensure the safety of our patrons and their property therefore this year we will continue to deliver on our promise,” he further indicated. He said Security Systems has been engaged to take care of security.

Ranko said tickets are sold at all Spar outlets countrywide and Engine Filling Station Thamaga. Standard tickets are sold at P100 while double tickets cost P160. He thanked their partners like The Copy Shop, Engine Filling Station Thamaga, Taxi Association of Thamaga and The BrainTec. Ranko concluded that there is no other place to jump your way into the next year than at Bedrock Gardens on New Year’s Eve.
