The defeat for Tlokweng United was their second in a row and have lost their position at the top of the table. Bonno Mosea’s solitary strike in the second half separated the two sides at the Lekidi football ground. Matebele have now moved to position two on the log with the same number of points (11) with log leaders, Black Forest. Tlokweng United on the other hand have dropped to position six. Black Forest, who seem to have picked up form, were in a mean mood on Saturday afternoon, thrashing Broadhurst United 3-0.
The former Premier League side started their campaign with a lower pace, playing to a draw in their first two matches. The Saturday victory has pushed them to the top of the table with a superior goal difference of seven. Holy Ghost have moved to position three on the log following their 3-0 win over Motaung Young Fighters. They have now collected 10 points from five matches.
Mochudi Centre also registered a victory over Taung Young Strikers. It was Magosi’s second victory this season, having played to a draw three times in five matches. Former Coca-Cola Cup champions, Uniao Flamengo Santos’ poor form continued this past weekend when they lost 2-1 to Matebejana. Santos are yet to win a match this season and are sitting dangerously at position 11 with only two points from five games. It was Matebejana’s first victory this season and the win has pushed them to five points. Young Fighters remain rooted at the bottom of the log with only one point from five matches.
