Taylor was slapped with a suspension letter yesterday with her employer BFA saying she is being investigated for irregular utilization of BFA funds. Sources close to the matter suggest that a broke BFA was forced to dip into funds from FIFA, which were meant for other projects; an act which FIFA does not take kindly to. “ This is what has landed Taylor in trouble, when FIFA releases monies for development, it has to be channeled rightfully so,” said the source. It seems Maclean Letshwiti as the association president was forced to act to prevent the wrath of the World football governing body. “ Letshwiti has even reported himself to FIFA,” the source added.

Taylor came in following the sacking of Mfolo Mfolo who was fired exactly a year ago following the COSAFA Under 17 team saga in which Botswana was disqualified after players failed a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan. In recent times, Mfolo was the only CEO who lasted for more than a year at BFA. He was appointed to the position in 2017 taking over from Ookeditse Malesu. Malesu resigned less than six months into the job.

He was following in the footsteps of Kitso Kemoeng who was also suspended and consequently fired. Should the worst happen, Taylor will be adding to the long list of failed CEOs at BFA, such as Keith Masters, Thuso Dikgaka, Duncan Kgame and Mooketsi Kgotele amongst others. BFA h
