Juicy Beef Ribs

Juicy Beef Ribs

Without a doubt, every meat lover ought to experience this offering.

The high ceilings, black and white checked floors, huge statement mirror piece, funky lanterns and rustic furniture make up a huge part of the ambiance. You literally step into a new world. The floor plan allows for seating inside and outside and both areas are very intimate with great ventilation inside and out. Soft music is wisely selected from an in-house playlist to suite any time of day and as the background music plays conversation flows smoothly.

As briefly aforementioned, the restaurant is located in one of the oldest malls in the city of Gaborone; Broadhurst, with landmarks that have stood the test of time i.e. Kara Kele Laundromat, Broadhurst Primary School and the UCCSA Church. The neighbourhood is a very peaceful one. With the extension of Gaborone and the growing use of the back route between Gaborone and Gabs North, more individuals have of late been exposed to the Cafes rustic hearty meals with a homemade touch.

Making sure to capture and cater to diverse patronage, the menu is very intentional in offering Breakfast, Light Healthy Meals and Beefed up traditional offerings. Best sellers are the generous portion of beef ribs which are tender and fall right off the bone, second to them is the oxtail which is slow cooked to perfection.

Many people love oxtail and avoid the time consuming, painstaking exercise of cooking it by enjoying it at The Test Kitchen with options of placing a phone order with them or getting on one of two Apps they are on. Yamee and Blaza. If you stay in and around Gaborone you can have your order delivered right to your door step. If you are looking for a customised spread for an event, you can trust the The Test Kitchen to deliver, set up and man your event should the service be required.

What sets this establishment apart from its counterparts has to be their commitment to satisfying all your meat cravings.

They are open Tuesday to Sunday and on any given day there is something special going on. There is a daily special on authentic Botswana cuisine, Seswaa, Koko ya Setswana, Ox Tongue and Mogodu/ Mokwetjepe. Saturdays are fantastic fun with a Buy 1 and get another at Half Price promo on all Cocktails and Pizzas on the menu. Sunday is the famous braai day with amazing affordable combos. The weekends specials are friendly on the pocket and are perfect for young get togethers with friends or family.

One detail which stood out to my guest was the Platters to Share, these are again loaded with different meats. We enjoyed our food; pizza and a huge Tswana Chicken piece with a side of Bogobe le (khabeche) Cabbage. This cosy restaurant has left a good impression! Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation. The staff truly cares about your experience. Book a table or simply pop in for something meaty.
