The two partners have been enjoying a 10-year relationship. Debswana had earlier on in the week sponsored the awards ceremony to the tune of P250,000. Athletes came out to play looking incredible but also nervous, understandably so.

As the night went on, it drew closer to what everyone had gathered for which was giving out of awards and the build up was done beautifully by the director of ceremonies, Solomon Kakuwa. Maxwell Sechi of Prisons Boxing Club walked away with the most Promising Male Boxer of the Year while the Promising Female Boxer of the Year award went to Gift Modire of Francistown Boxing Club. Gaseitsewe Ponatshego scooped the Judge of the Year award while Referee of the Year award went to Etsogile Ngwako.

Former boxer, France Mabiletsa was named the Administrator of the Year. The Affiliate of the Year award went to the University of Botswana Boxing Club while Lechezani Master Luza bagged the Coach of the Year award. The Female Boxer of the Year award went to Keamogetse Kenosi while Rajab Mohammed walked away with Male Boxer of the Year award.
