SVM receives BNSC reduced funding

During the movement's annual general meeting (AGM) held this past Saturday, it was disclosed that the organisation now gets P250, 000 from the BNSC instead of the initial P500, 000 it has been getting in the past. The movement's leadership led by chairperson, Gloria Gaosikelwe said this is due to organisation's lack of activities due the COVID-19 pandemic.
The meeting also discussed strategy performance report,challenges, solutions and opportunities the organisation can take advantage of. The leadership noted that it was happy to still have a strong and healthy relationship with the BNSC who are their main financier.Hence, moving forward SVM has established strategy objectives to maintain their good relationship. Just like any organisation, SVM has its challenges such as finances,volunteers not being well taken care of and low commission rates.
The leadership urged all stake holders to acknowledge and appreciate the hardwork all volunteers put in place to help with the success of each event. On a regional and national level, they enjoy good relationships with Fan Mo Sports Agancy,Mentorship for Excellence International,Ministry of Health and Wellness through the Botswana National Blood Transfusion services amongst others.
