Self taught makeup artist starts career

Having started this from a tender age, she is set on a path to stardom, with her Glamified By Shaz business doing so well.
The young talented woman said although she has been doing make-ups, she only started to do it professionally in 2020 and turned it into a profit making business.
In an interview with Arts & Culture, she said her passion for make-up started from a tender age.
She added that after she started applying make-up on herself, she became perfect that people always complimented her therefore influencing her decision to become a professional make-up artist. “The public has shown a lot of interest in my work.
I always get a lot of compliments and inquiries from the people who have seen my work. Most of my clients are referrals, which shows that people really love my work.
I am a self-taught make-up artist so when people give my work thumbs up, it really motivates me to work harder,” she said.
Furthermore, Nthobatsang explained that she specialises in a wide range of make-up looks like soft natural make-up, glam make-up, bridal make-up and more. She explained that most of her clients were those at the weddings, parties and more.
She added that her challenges included events getting postponed and or getting cancelled, which throws her off budget.
The lady has successfully established herself as a make-up artist in Mochudi where she accumulated regular loyal customers compared to when she started two years ago.
She said she aspires to own her make-up studio, a make-up line, create employment and have branches all over the country.
Apart from being a make-up artist, she also works as a personal assistant at Cleo Investments. “I am a natural.
I work with passion and believe in this line of work.
Progress is ranked by referrals one gets and by far I have achieved that and I believe I will do more and grow with time. My advise to aspiring artists is that they must persevere no matter the difficulties and must follow their dreams,” she ended.
