The event is titled 1 Place, 1 Accord. In an interview with the man of the moment, Ounah said it was a call for all 'children of God' to gather together in one place and ‘in one accord’ to give praise to God and worship Him just as the earlier church did in the book of Acts.
He explained that the Bible stated that as they were in one place and in one accord, suddenly a sound was heard adding that they were filled with power. “I believe that as we gather in worship, our lives will never remain the same.
This is not just a concert but ministry to the Almighty.
The concert features local and international artists. Each artist on the line-up will have a collaboration with me. The featured artists include; Vusi Mtokufa of the hit song Busetsa Tsotlhe Mo Mannong, King David of Automatically who features mostly in Vee Mampeezy's songs,” he said.
He also explained that King David featured one of his songs ‘Falling Back’ that had been airing a lot on local television stations. He added that another local artist who will feature in that event was Psalmist Baxter whom they had a song together in his latest album.
International artists featured include legendary Tshepiso Mpotle who released many powerful hymns under his name. He featured in Keke’s songs and also Spirit Of Praise.
Mpotle also features Ounah in a song dubbed ‘Nyakallang Lefatshe Lotlhe’ from his song album titled ‘My Everything.’ Joey Mofoleng of Spirit of Praise from South Africa famed with his song ‘Mananjalo’ that features Benjamin Dube will also be ministering at the event. Still from SA, there will be other artists like Sechaba Pali, Precious Mosotho, Busisiwe Malefane and Thando Makhapela all from Women in Praise. Makhapela has also featured Ounah in one of his songs Ke Sena Wena that was released in 2018.
The Mcee’s of the day include Gaborone Block 3 councilor Motamma Horatius, Btv gospel show Melodi Ya Kgalaletso and Lentswe presenter pastor Nkisang Rakgomo and Anorld Kapo. Ounah said the venue had ample parking space with reliable security. He promised a great number of security personnel to take care of all vehicles and people at their event.
He emphasised that alcohol will not be allowed at the event. “There will be several refreshments and merchandise stalls to support local businesses. Preparing for an event of this magnitude has many challenges of which the biggest one is financial challenge.
However, we have some Batswana-owned businesses that have pledged to assist like Golden Door Villa Lodge in Block 8 who offered free accommodation and Spa treatment to SA guests. There are some who have shown interest in partnership and or sponsorship and deals are yet to be concluded. We still welcome any form of help from local business and individuals who would like to support this work of God,” he said.
