Letsile stunned the world when he smashed his own record to set a new World Under-20 time of 9.91 on Wednesday morning.

Tebogo's mother said the challenges she endured raising him are now bearing fruits.

She told Mmegi Sport that she is emotionally overwhelmed. “Batswana have been calling, sending text messages, colleagues passing by my workstation to congratulate me for bearing them a star.

My understanding ‘mohiri’ even gave me a half-day off from work to absorb it all because I was not coping,” she said.
