I'm not in it for the prize- Chombo

Chombo was speaking at a press conference in Gaborone today. “One thing I believe I have been very vocal about to the organisation and the girls when I joined Miss Botswana was that it truly was not for the prize, it truly was not for the money. It was about my passion and purpose. Trust me when I say I believe that I could use this platform to change my very own life and the lives of so many other people. I'm not saying this because they (organisers) keep on saying money doesn’t really matter. The mere opportunity to be part of this organisation has always been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember,” she said.
Chombo added that she prepared so hard to ensure that she uses the opportunity for her own advantage. She also explained that she worked so hard to have a place at Miss World, which to her is the prize. She stated that she believed she was in good hands and therefore people should not worry about her prize money.
Chombo added that together with other top 10 contestants have been given so many prizes worth a lot of money.
Chombo will represent Botswana at the 71st edition of Miss World in December.
