The House Kwasa artist proved yet again why he is one of the most decorated artists in the country as he managed to fill up the National Stadium. The star-studded show proved to be one of the big music events ever held in the country.
It was also graced by the vice President, Slumber Tsogwane. It started up on a high note with Makhadzi delivering a scintillating performance and won over the crowd, showing people why she is sometimes referred to as the African queen.
Her performance left the crowd in high jubilations and elevated the mood of the event by singing some of her hit songs including Ma yellow bone, Beke le beke and many others.
Though the event lived up to many expectations, South African artist, Cassper Nyovest rather left Batswana with bitter taste as he only performed three songs and tried getting off stage after performing only one song.
After pleas from the crowd, he performed the other last two songs and went off stage. Some rather said Nyovest got off stage due to the bad sound system. However, the event went on to be a success story with many artists that came after him.
When it hit 2300 hrs, it was then time for the main act, which brought multitudes of people to the stadium just to see him finally having his one man show. Vee’s introduction left people in awe as just as when it was his time to perform all the lights went off, to give him the spotlight he just needed, and he pulled higher at the stands.
His performance was rather great as he put on a show and showed why he hired the choreographer, Vukani to help him prepare for the show and the results were quite visible at the Last Man Standing. Vee shared stage with a couple of his compatriots and went to an extent of bringing back his old dancers including Coming Soon.
One reveller who attended the show said the event did really live up to his expectations as he got to have the best time at the event. “The event was really nice. I got to have the best time of my life and I don’t regret coming to the event as it surpassed all the expectations he had,” he said. Vee was rather left thankful for the continued support that Batswana give him at all times.
