The event's title comes from the Setswana idiom Mosadi ke thari ya sechaba, which simply means women are the backbone of the nation. Therefore, it is on that note that the organisers of the event came up with an all local female jazz artists to serenade revellers on the day. He also said he believed in supporting local talent to boost the economy, adding that he was confident that the concert would bear fruit as it featured jazz musicians with numerous awards to their names. Also he said the festival was committed to advancing equality, prominence and opportunities for women in the music industry. Keebone stated that the event seeks to create a platform that brings all jazz lovers under one space to proudly celebrate the beautiful age old genre that is jazz.

He said the festival also seeks to bring long lasting relationships within the industry and create a long, fruitful ecosystem within the creative industry by engaging different creative fraternities. “It also seeks to create a platform that inspire and encourage other female artisans to take up space within the industry and create a culture of mentoring and skills sharing with the new generation within the creative landscape,” said Keebone.
