Gaabo Motho brings together major acts

Despite some of the headliners at this year's event being multiply booked on the day, the organisers have assured patrons that the artists will honour their commitments.
For instance, Kabza De Small who is expected to perform at Gaabo Motho, is also expected to perform at Kanye Festive Explosion and Homecoming event. Events Marketing Manager, Mabitso Kesenye said to put the public’s fears at rest all artists who have several bookings on the day will perform first at their event to make time for their other gigs.
To buttress the assertion as to why he says the artists will perform first, he further disclosed that all the organisers of the festivals scheduled were to meet on Thursday to work out time slots.
On the issue of readiness, Kesenye said they are more than ready for the festival and that the tickets sales are going on very well. He also said all artists have been paid their dues.
“Our ticket sales have been going well and now as we speak the early bird ones that were selling for P150 are now finished and what’s left is only the advance ticket which is selling for P200, and those who didn’t purchase tickets on time can pay P250 at the gate,” he said. He further said people should be aware that tickets will be scanned at the gate to combat fake sales.
Kesenye went on to condemn hooliganism that is always being displayed by some revellers at the event saying they do not want to see a repeat of the seventh edition of Gaabo Motho.
He said this unruly behaviour caused Ami Faku to get off stage as she complained of being splashed with beer. Revellers can expect performances from Makhadzi, Young Stunna, Nkosazana Daughter and DJ Ngwazi. Local artists include the likes of Franco, Charma Gal and Dr Vom. Tickets can still be purchased at all Liquorama stores.
