According to a police report, the woman, aged 41 had ended her relationship with the father of her two children sometime last year October. It is said the man who had been harassing her, arrived at her home around midday holding a gun and she immediately ran for her life only to meet her demise moments later. It is reported that the man chased her around with a gun, firing shots at her ultimately killing her.

This incident was confirmed to Mmegi Online by acting station commander at the Shakawe Police station, Assistant superintendent, Ogolotse Tampa. Tampa said that they received a report around 12 mid day from their outpost station at Sepopa that a woman had been shot and killed by her ex-lover.

“We quickly dispatched to the scene and indeed found the woman lying in a pool of blood. It looks like she had tried to block the bullet somehow because the bullet shattered her hands and it cut through to her throat,” the Police confirmed. Whilst at the scene the Police enquired about the suspect. They were informed by eye witnesses that the man had run to the bush. Soon after they heard a gun shot.

“When the officers went to the direction of the gunshot, they discovered that a man had shot and killed himself whom they later confirmed to be the suspect,” the Police boss confirmed. The Police further advise members of the public to seek guidance when they are going through troubles instead of taking matters into their own hands.
