Last year World Athletics ratified another one of Tebogo’s 100m world Under-20 record which he broke at the World Athletics Championships in Eugene (Oregon, United States of America) in July.

Tebogo ran 9.94 secs in the men’s 100m heats to set a then-new world junior record. The world athletics governing body had to ratify the feat before it became official.

Tebogo, who claimed his first senior continental title during the Africa Senior Championships that were held in Mauritius, then broke his own record at the World Athletics Under 20 championships in Cali, Colombia in August, stopping the clock at 9.91 to scoop gold
