The pageant being held at the Gold Reef started yesterday (Sunday, February 12) and concludes next Sunday (February 19) and alongside Botswana five other countries including Brazil, Estonia, Kenya, Russia and South Africa will be participating at the competition. The trio of Lame Lesotho (11), Loapi Kwape (12) and Fatimah Lottering (18) are representing Botswana in Johannesburg.

The three girls qualified for the 2023 Miss Little Model Earth International after being crowned in their various categories at the 2022 Little Miss Petite Botswana. The trio is trained under the Beauty Hub Academy and have been going under intensive training to ready them for this week’s spectable. Speaking to Showbiz, Beauty Hub Academy director, One Mariri-Segobye expressed confidence in the junior beauty queens and said the almost year-long training will give the local girls a competitive advantage. Mariri-Segobye said the academy believes the trio will bring the crowns back home.

“They have been under training since last year on pageant etiquette. We have been working hard to get them in a better position, to help them gain competitive advantage against competitors. This includes public speaking, to help them in their projects and answering questions. This also includes wardrobe selection to select good attires for the national costume. At Beauty Hub Academy we are confident that they will come with crowns and many more awards in their categories,” Mariri-Segobye said.

The trio is expected back home on Sunday after the completion of the week long competition.
