The book was launched a fortnight ago. “The feeling of being a published author is rather eccentric. I feel like, I am gradually growing my ground and embracing the artistic way of writing,” Letsholo said.
She stated she feels her book offers hope and inspiration to most people. Doubling up as an author and student, Letsholo did not find it easy to finally publish her book.
She revealed that producing the 'masterpiece' was not really an easy journey as she describes it as something that can be defined as a roller coaster looking at how she had to find time between her busy schedules to write the book.
“I am a masters degree student at the University of Botswana studying educational technology, on top of that I am a young mother, a professional Latin American dancer, a dance academy co-owner and a dance instructor and all these disciplines demanded quite a lot from me and finding time to write was quite hard,” said the newly published author. She indicated that her book is mainly to inspire the girl-child as it speaks about someone finding herself in the middle of adversity; socially and academically but with power and determination.
And to depict this in the book, Letsholo said the book depicts the girl-child facing challenges in life, the pains that came along and how she managed to overcome all those troubles to find light at the end of the tunnel.
This, she said, was to prove to the girl-child that nothing is impossible in life. Letsholo feels her core message from her book is to find oneself. “The core message of this book is to find oneself, find the root of the problem and work on growing yourself development,” said Letsholo. Furthermore, she indicated that she hopes that her book will give people a glimmer of hope that they are in control of their lives and can do whatever they want to do in life as long as they put their mind to it.
In addition she encouraged all young people to embrace their dreams and all they need to do is take a step towards attaining them.
However, she advised people to always be humble even if they reach the pinnacle in their lives and always keep on pushing and never look back with their dreams and aspirations. Letsholo indicated that her journey of writing has only just commenced and she will continue doing more writing. She revealed that the second volume of ‘She Found Her Power’ will be published in the next two years.
