The free music event dubbed 'The Pan-African Welcome Ceremony' only required one to register to attend. Local artists such as ATI, Dr Vom, Amantle Brown Ancestral Rituals and give scintillating performances to the satisfaction of the revellers.

The true beat and sound of Africa were on display throughout the event where some of Africa's best including Grammy award winner Nomcebo Zikode and Sauti Sol also joined local giants to entertain the world's top entrepreneurs and game changers who had descended upon Gaborone for the Forbes Summit.

It was a real party celebrated the African way as President Mokgweetsi Masisi, the first lady Neo Masisi and vice president Slumber Tsogwane and other senior officials took to stage to dance with revellers.

It was clear that the crowd had put behind the disappointment of missing out on the opportunity to watch Nigerian Afro beat superstar Davido perform live on Sunday as they enjoyed the performances on offer. Davido will only perform for the delegates at a Bush Party on Tuesday.

Dr Vom gave the Forbes delegates a taste of the hit that has sustained his career for close to 20 years now, Tsaya Thobane.

As always, ATI was in his element and crowd loved every bit of his performance. Grammy award winner Nomcebo Zikode closed the festival in style as she performed the song that actually shot her to stardom, Jerusalema featuring Master KG.
