The highly anticipated event, which is powered by Shell Helix Oils & Shell V-Power Fuel, will take place on the weekend of May 5-6 at the newly opened Fields Mall in the Gaborone CBD.

The organisers of the show say this year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever before, with an exciting line-up of vehicles, interactive exhibits and a host of thrilling activities for car enthusiasts and families alike.

The show will showcase the latest cars, products and services from the local motoring industry.

In a statement released this week, the organisers say attendees can expect to see the newest models from top automotive brands, including super cars, race cars and classic modified cars and much more.

A statement from the organisers says the event will also feature interactive exhibits and displays, giving attendees a chance to experience the latest automotive technology up close and personal.

Additionally, the statement stated that for the first time, serious prospective buyers can also get an opportunity to test drive some of the latest vehicles on the market from selected dealerships.

Additionally, it says visitors can also expect to explore virtual reality driving simulations, go kart racing challenge, F1 Miami GP live screening, RC racing cars, desert race display, stance display and also get to learn more about the latest driver tech initiatives through hands-on live demonstrations.

“We are thrilled to bring back the Shell Gaborone Motor Show after a year of being away,” said Nazly Dawood, event host.

“This year’s event is going to be an unforgettable experience for attendees of all ages. We have worked tirelessly to create a unique and exciting show that truly captures the thrill of the Botswana automotive world,” Dawood added. She said in addition to the latest cars and the latest in automotive technology, the (City) Motor Show will also feature a range of exciting activities for families and visitors.

She stated that attendees would enjoy live DJ music sets, food and drink stalls and many other interactive games and activities for children.

Tickets for the event are available now from The Voice Newspaper and from Webticket outltes in Spar Stores countrywide with early bird discounts available for a limited time. Advance tickets are P100 (single), P150 (double), P200 (tripple), children under 12: P50 while children seven years and below get in free.
