Comfy show brings fashion, art and music

With a mission to elevate the fashion industry in Botswana, The Comfy Fashion Show aims to provide opportunities for local fashion designers, models and collaborating entities. This year’s show will be held under the theme, The Comfy Fashion Show: Elevating Botswana's Fashion Industry The event curator Neelo Lentebanye said in line with this vision, they have curated a unique experience by featuring new designers and models in every fashion show, placing their debut as the primary focus. She stated that patrons will be treated to an immerse experience of art, fashion and live music experience by renowned musicians. The show will run from 4pm-7pm. She said the captivating runway show will feature headliners such as Motswaferé, Goth Rose, Xcortic, Tii Maaney and Princess. “Selected portions of the show will be streamed online, allowing global fashion enthusiasts to participate,” Lentebanye said.
Lentebanye said they mostly work with upcoming talents because they aim to give them the platform to break into the fashion industry. Furthermore, she said they also create opportunities for collaboration between the brands that participate at the show. “Come and experience the fusion of fashion, music, and comfort at The Comfy Fashion Show as we elevate Botswana's fashion industry. The show returns after achieving success in the previous editions. The 2022 edition featured self-taught fashion designer, Moletedi Ntseme who showcased some of his finest collections.
The show also featured 20 young models of all sizes, musicians, as well as display of artworks from local fine artists. Lentebanye said they will reveal the list of those who will be showcasing in this year's event in a week's time. Student tickets sell for P150 and it includes a cozy fleece scarf and a warm beverage. Standard tickets are P250 with a sewing kit and alternative tickets are P300, including a sewing kit and a delectable platter.
