Epic moments at Puma Energies airshow

Hosted in the Lulu hanger housed at Sir Seretse Khama Airport, esteemed stakeholders and partners of Puma Energies from across the country were left mesmerised by great stunts performed by pilots as the fly birds pivoted in all motions possible on the SSKI airspace. A plethora of aircraft engine smoke and cheers from the crowd spiced up the sunny Friday event. Officially welcoming the esteemed guests, Puma Energies Chief Executive Officer Dominic Dhanah said the company has been growing in leaps and bounds in the local market and is now eyeing international collaborations to grow its strong muscle in the airline refuelling space. “We are in partnership with African airlines, to keep growing” he said.
Puma Energies enjoys the top position of being the sole airline refueller in the country with new data showing that in 2022 Puma Energy Aviation safely refuelled over 28,000 flights with Jet A1 and AVGAS at Botswana’s four main airports. This signalled a rebound in the number of flights Puma Energy Aviation refuelled which grew by 185%. Kick starting the air show on a high note, the Flying Lions, who have partnered with Puma since 2007, left the crowd in awe and yearning for more twisting, rolling and turning as they flipped around their flying machines meticulously in the air as if they were small bird. Puma Energy Flying Lions T5 Harvard team left sketches in the sky with their amazing formations.
The audience was treated to synchronised aerobatic displays from the planes that have a historical root of being created in the WW2 epoch. The last lap was marked by the diamond formation of the three planes, leaving traces of bright colour in the airspace, an amazing scene to behold that left the crowd in soothing awe.
