This was during the South zone eliminations played at the National Diamond. Titans won the title last year after beating Police IX who were not part of the eliminations after being disqualified due to missing registration deadline. Titans’ captain, Morongwa Sephekolo told Sport Monitor that they believe that they are a big side, hence qualifying for the Extravaganza means a lot. “We won all our matches on Saturday. That is an indication that we came into the eliminations knowing that our final destination is Selebi-Phikwe. The tournament will also serve as part of preparations for a tournament that we will play in Netherlands. But before we can think about Europe, we have to take care of business at home. We want to walk out with our silverware,” she said.

Titans played an entertaining match against UB Giants forcing Titans to come from behind to take the match. The score line was four-all, with Titans winning the game 7-4 during penalties. In a thrilling women’s encounter played on Sunday, BDF walloped Vikings 6-2. At the bottom three, BDF was still on the lead. In the North, it was a bad day in office for the eliminations hosts, Carats men as they failed to qualify after losing all their matches. Carats and Rail Giants were the only two women teams that played the Northern zone eliminations after others failed to meet the registration deadline. By the time of going to print, the deciding matches for the one slot each in both men and women were still to be played on Sunday afternoon.
