Ditiro Leero’s music show to exhibit Tswana song

The popular musician will hold the first instalment of his annual music festival for the first time at Zone 4 Farm, Selokolela on October 28. The show is organised and coordinator by Maganamokgwa Ensemble.

In an interview with the event’s public relations officer and promoter, Dops Baipidi, he explained that the occasion is meant share Ditiro Leero's musical journey. He stated that they found it fit to share the musician's story through music and make it an edutainment rather than just entertainment. He added that they also wanted to inspire everyone who went through muddy and dusty roads that there is still life and hope after one's downfall, saying the downfall of a man was not the end of his life.

“Our audience will witness the cultural dance moves from various performers, traditional poetry, indigenous instruments like segaba and katara. Attendants will also enjoy traditional food and showcase traditional attire on the day. We have targeted all age groups that is why we start it in the morning to cater for both adults and children. The evening night will be for middle ages,” he said. The event is enriched with the best among the best of local traditional music and dance together with dikhware maestro Dr Vom.

Performers at the event include Leero himself, MmaAusi, Matsieng, Machesa, Tawana ya Koma, Kgokgonono, Gape Bame, Fox Matlopi, Sua Pan, Mmalaloo, local folklore poet Serurubele, Ntirelang Bernan, Mokgalajwe, to mention but a few. Furthermore, Baipidi explained that they were selling food stalls for now because beverage stalls are already sold out.

He said the stall sell for P1,000. He said fortunately, their venue allowed bottled beverages, adding that they will be having their team available to assist in serving all their clients’ needs. He said the security would be tight because they hired professional security guards, bouncers and car marshals to protect their clients and their belongings. However, he pointed out that finance was always the stumbling block that automatically affected the plans and procedures like appropriate venue and other logistics.

The show will start 11:30am. Entrance fee is as follows; early bird P80 while standard ticket goes for P100 and double ticket is sold at P180. They also have Lesamutlha VIP package at P1,000 and it includes a ticket, Ditiro Leero CD of a person’s choice, plate and a cup branded Ditiro Leero together with a shirt.
