To mark its return to the home ground, the organisers have put together a line-up of local cultural music maestros who have over the years won the hearts of Batswana and even managed to put the rich and Setswana traditional music beyond local borders. These include MmaAusi, Ditiro Leero, Culture Spears, Dikakapa, Mmurubele, Mmalaloo, Triple R, Sticks Rakhiba and many more. In an interview with Arts & Culture, Dithubaruba spokesperson, Tlamelo Letlole explained that the idea is not just about celebrating Sekwena culture but also to empower Bakwena artists including those who do contemporary music. He added that they would be showcasing different traditional dances from different tribes such as Hosana from Bakalanga, Tsutsube from Basarwa and different Setapa dances from both Molepolole and Kanye. Letole said through Dithubaruba, those groups were able to meet local companies and international visitors.

He added that those international delegates would also be hosting their own cultural events at their home grounds and therefore if they are interested in local talents, they could take them to perform there as a way of promoting cultural exchange. He also added that their delegates from other countries would also bring their traditional groups to showcase at Dithubaruba. He added that they added the likes of Sniza from Ditshegwane, Mmalaloo from Maun who is famed for the Kgang tsa monna wa moagisanyi song and many more.

He said they added those artists following President Mokgweetsi Masisi’s Mindset Change initiative. Still at the event, there will be entertainment by senior citizens showcasing Setapa sa Bosigo. Letole urged the revellers to come in large numbers and join the night setapa. He called upon them to wear traditional attire including dance attire. He encouraged schools and families to bring children forth so that they could learn and appreciate local cultures. He assured revellers that the roads leading to the venue were good, security would be tight, adding that there would be lights all over the venue.
