House Kwasa star, Vee Mampeezy was supposed to lead an entourage of local acts including DJ Bunny to Ireland to celebrate Botswana’s 57th Independence Day. The two artists confirmed on their social media pages that they are no longer traveling rather they are available for bookings locally. “I regret to inform you that the event I was scheduled to perform at in Dublin, Ireland, has been cancelled. To our loved fans who were looking forward to rock with us, we are deeply hurt and sorry for this and please note that we are available for bookings on Independence Day holidays,” DJ Bunny said.

Pressed for comment, Evolve Studios confirmed that the event will not see light. “It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we regret to announce that the independence show in Ireland with Vee Mampeezy on September 30, 2023 has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control,” reads the statement from Evolve Studios.

“Some of the unforeseen circumstances are low ticket sales,” said the representative. Evolve Studios further stated that amends will be made for people who had already purchased tickets by refunding them. They, however, announced that another date will be set for Vee Mampeezy to make his way to Ireland. The failed Botswana Independence Day Celebration becomes the second event by the studio to fail before taking place after the All You Need Is Piano that was to be headlined by Mr Jazziq.
