In an interview with Arts & Culture, Olebetse said he creates simple minimal line artworks that show expressions in different ways for decorative purposes, suitable for people’s homes or any location suitable for the display of his art.

He also explained that he used to draw his art on clothing adding that it was not as impactful as it is the case with frameworks. Then one day he decided to try drawing on canvas and instantly it changed his way of thinking in terms of producing line art. Olebetse also said while he is passionate about art, he used social media and the internet to enhance his skills in 2022.

He added that his art lessons at school also paid off because he got to learn other things such as being steady in certain levels of drawing, adding that he was grateful for those lessons. “Art helps one to think outside the box. I get to be limitless when it comes to creativity, and its results and mostly I get to express what is at certain points deep in my mind, but doing things in a creative state.

The public gets to relate to my artworks and the most common feedback is that they connect to the minimal simplicity as my art mostly portrays expressions of the physical and emotional,” he explained. Speaking of his most memorable artwork, Olebetse said it portrayed a plus-size lady, the reason being it displayed body positivity in the most beautiful way possible. He added that he got the idea from one of his clients, which really made him happy because there were people who actually expressed themselves through him and his art.

He said it was amazing because it was another reason for him to keep going. Furthermore, he explained that the challenges he faced as an artist were typical errors that led to big changes henceforth he gets to redo the artwork, which also affects his schedule of perfecting a piece and delivering it on time. He said sometimes this leaves his customers disappointed due to bad time management as a businessperson. “I only have one achievement and that is Évoluer which is my company.

I started this business and like every other business, it used to be very depressing at the start. But where is it right now, it is my biggest achievement. In the next few years, Évoluer should be big with a large market share,” he said. Apart from his main art, Olebetse is also a make-up artist. He explained that during the day he glams up the ladies for their events. He said in the evening when he gets home, he works on his art, which makes it very easy to balance the two because of the different time frames he works on.
