The defending champions got off to a good start with a 2-0 win over Holy Ghost, thanks to goals from Gilbert Baruti and Daniel Msendami on Sunday afternoon at the VTM Arena. The Galaxy Stars are gunning for their second consecutive league championship and Ramoreboli believes the quest would be a much tougher assignment. “Every team is very competitive in this league, so you do not win the first match and think you have won the league. So you win the first match (and) think how you are going to win the second match and then the third match. For me it is going to be a competitive season. You look at Rollers they have reinforced the team; you look at Gaborone United they are a very experienced team. You look at Masitaoka, they are good, with young players, you look at Sua and Orapa. All the teams have reinforced, so its going to be a very competitive league,” Ramoreboli said.

It was a fast paced first quarter of an hour with the champions taking the lead in the 30th minute with a beautifully taken free kick by Baruti. Three minutes before the break, Cleopas Dube could have doubled the score for Galaxy but he was superbly denied by the goalkeeper. From the break, Galaxy continued with their dominance and they wrapped the win with a goal from Daniel Msendami with seven minutes before full time.
