They have won four games and lost only one, scoring 11 goals in the process. “I believe so (winning the league) because I have got young boys. I am playing with Under-23s and only a few over-aged players. I think they are about three, four five.

But most of them are young boys. I have four players that are playing for the Under-20 national team,” he said. Tlou said all they need now is keep pushing them hard and results will keep coming. He also said they will tale each game as it comes but will aim to collect maximum points in each game. “If it is not possible then we can settle for a draw. We will always try our best to get positive results,” he said.

On Saturday they registered another important victory against Notwane in the top of the table clash played at SSG ground. Serati Semadi scored a brace to help his side win 2-1 under a scorching heat and stretched the lead at the top. In the first half, Semadi took advantage of defence lapse by Notwane to open the scores.

Notwane leveled matters but Semadi put his side in the lead again in the second half after beating a defender with skill and chipped over the goalkeeper. The former Gilport Lions, BDF XI and Jwaneng Galaxy striker is currently the leading goalscorer in the league with six goals from five games. His coach, Tlou said Semadi works very hard. “I told him that if you are a top man, people must talk about your goals, not how you pass the ball. He is a fantastic player who also follows instructions.

I told him that as a striker, all he has to do if find spaces and run for everything that is in front of the goals,” he said.

Tlou said the match against Notwane was an end-to-end stuff.

He said the only difference was that his side took its chances while Notwane failed to utilize theirs. “I would not want to lie and say we want top four finish. We want to win this league and if it means hard work then we will do just that. When we started we set ourselves a target of 15 points from the first five games.

Well that is good enough because we got 12,” he said. By Saturday evening, Notwane had now dropped to position three, four points behind log leaders and one less than that of second placed URI Black Forest. Black Forest occupied the spot after thrashing Desert Nxau. The latter remain rooted at the bottom of the league table with only one point from five games. The Kgatleng derby between Mochudi Centre Chiefs and City Polar ended in a 1-1 draw in Ramonaka while UB Hawks registered their first victory in the league against Union Flamengo Santos.
