Wilson was born in Gaborone but holds Australian citizenship and up until July, Botswana did not allow dual citizenship. However, following a High Court case, the government indicated eligible persons no longer need to renounce citizenship of another country. This means Wilson will not need to renounce his Australian citizenship and the Botswana Football Association (BFA) is now waiting for the issuance of his passport. 'The BFA is waiting (for the passport). The intention is to play him tomorrow,' a source said. However, it is unclear if the passport will be issued in time for Wilson, who plays in Vietnam for Hanoi FC, to make his Zebras debut. BFA CEO, Mfolo Mfolo had not responded to Mmegi Sport inquiries on Wilson's availability for tomorrow's match. The Zebras face Mozambique tomorrow before hosting Guinea on Tuesday. Both games are at the Obed Itani Chilume Stadium and mark the start of new coach, Didier Gomes Da Rosa's reign.
