Celebrating five years in the game, BK Proctor’s fashion gala was held under the ‘suit and sneakers’ theme and it was pleasing to observe that the attendees understood the assignment especially the gentlemen. Everyone surely looked amazing and the tone for thew night was set by the amazing setup with the fountains in front of the GICC transformed into a runway. With the lights and all the Collections by Proctor branding all over the place, it was like one of those New York fashion weeks had teleported into Botswana just for one night.
Over the past five years, Proctor has sort of defined his brand as luxurious and characterised by several key factors, including prestige, craftsmanship, and to some extent a high price tag. His brand caters to consumers who value not only the quality and craftsmanship of the product but also appreciate it as a status symbol.
Speaking of symbols, it was then time to see the collections from the man himself as models began strutting the runway with innovative designs and daring ready-to-wear clothing. From the pants, dresses to the footwear, Collections by Proctor showed the attendees that summer should be all about colour and filling one’s wardrobe with pieces that can be worn for seasons to come. Off course not leaving the headgears out, the models showed how Proctor’s collections can be paired with just about anything. There was something for the occasions and there were outfits to display natural stylishness while maintaining a certain level of cosiness.
There’s no denying that everyone is already into the festive season mood and this is the time of the year when there is really no excuse to not wow with your outfit. Whether one’s scheduling is packed with weddings and end of year parties, Saturday’s runway display from the models proved that there’s a Proctor piece that will loan itself big heartedly to your plans. It is also worth noting that BK proctor’s Leteisi collection has its signature look and it kind of outshone his other collections. Led by Rati Kefitlhile on the runway, Proctor’s Leteisi Collection has been thoughtfully designed and constructed to give fashion enthusiasts endless possibilities.
The night was not without entertainment as a line-up of talented local artists such as Han-C, Mafitlhakgosi and Ban T just to name but a few performed to the delight of fans. Looking at how the Collections by Proctor brand has invested heavily in building a brand image and customer loyalty over the years, it wouldn’t be a surprise if this signature look grows beyond the borders and becomes even more iconic in many years to come.
