I will bring Miss World crown home - Chombo

 

Chombo is gearing up to represent her country on the global stage at the Miss World competition, which will be held in India on March 9. Speaking at the Miss Botswana Top 10 official launch held on Saturday at the Cresta Lodge in Gaborone, Chombo confidently expressed her aspirations to win the Miss World title. 'I will bring the Miss World crown home to Botswana,' she declared, further emphasising that she and her team are prepared to take on the challenge.

'I am fully prepared, along with my team, to take on the challenge of the Miss World pageant. We have dedicated ourselves to this opportunity and are determined to succeed, leaving no doubt about our commitment to showcasing the beauty and grace of Botswana,' said Chombo. Furthermore, Chombo highlighted the significance of representing her country with pride and determination, stating that: 'I am honoured to have the opportunity to represent Botswana at the Miss World pageant, and I am fully committed to showcasing the best of our nation to the world. With the support of Batswana, I am confident that we will make a lasting impression on the global stage'.

Meanwhile, the director of Miss Botswana, Benjamin Raletsatsi, echoed Chombo's sentiments and urged Batswana to rally behind their representative. 'I have full confidence in our representative, and with the support of the nation, I am certain that she will shine on the global stage, representing the beauty and spirit of Botswana with grace and dignity,' said Raletsatsi.

He emphasised the importance of showing support for Chombo and encouraged the public to stay updated on her journey by visiting the Miss World Botswana Facebook page for regular updates. The grand finale of the prestigious pageant is scheduled to take place on March 9. Chombo will leave Botswana on February 16. She will attend a boot camp that begins on February 18.
