BFA mourns 'Octopus'

News of Mangole’s passing spread on social media last night and the BFA president, Maclean Letshwiti paid tribute to the former football administrator. “It is with great sadness that I have learnt about the passing on of Molatlhegi Mangole affectionately and famously known as Octopus,” Letshwiti said through the statement. Letshwiti said Octopus’ passing is a great loss to not only his close friends but many Batswana. “Octopus is not only a great loss to his family but also to the football industry and the media particularly RB 2. Personally, Mangole served me as a both critic and a fountain of wisdom from whom I would regularly seek counsel o various football matters,” Letshwiti further said.
“In mourning Octopus let us also celebrate a gentleman who’s lived a full circle of life with extraordinary humility and great sense of patriotism and an unquestionable commitment to the advance of Botswana football,” he said. Mangole served as Mogoditshane Fighters and Township Rollers public relations officer, and lately, as an analyst for RB2. Funeral arrangements have not been communicated.
