Speaking to MmegiOnline, Ramoreboli said his side did not play well on the afternoon and were lucky to walk away with a point. 'I do not really think we played well. We lost too many balls, we could not connect well today. The performance was really bad. It is one of those matches where we have to accept and understand that on the day the opponents were better than you. I think they created a lot of chances. We were not really flowing. We will take a point and prepare for the next match and be better. Honestly, we were lucky to get a point here. I think we did not really play to a point where we deserved a point,' Ramoreboli said.
Galaxy had a chance to draw level with leaders, Township Rollers while a win for GU would have lifted the team to a point behind Rollers. GU tested Goitseone Phoko just 15 minutes in to match but he parried the attempt over the bar.
In the five minutes of the first half, Thabang Sesinyi had his free kick attempt saved before Thatayaone Kgamanyane drilled a low shot but it was well saved by Phoko.
Five minutes in to the second half, Thabo Motswagole failed to deal with a cross and the ball fell to Gilbert Baruti but the attacker was slow to react as the GU defense recovered.
At the other end, the referee waved a penalty appeal from GU as they felt that Galaxy’s defender,Lesego Kereedilwe had handled the ball.
A few moments after the hour mark, with Phoko off his line, Karabo Phiri had his shot blocked with the goal gaping. In the remaining two minutes of the game, substitute Gift Moyo could have given Galaxy maximum points but his shot hit the cross bar.
Galaxy remain second and two points behind Rollers while GU are third, three points adrift of the leaders.
